Wondering who I am and where I've been? This is your page!

The quick version: A meditator since age 12 and student of the worlds religions, I hold a BA with Honors in Economics and Business Leadership and an MA in the Psychology of Lasting Change. I was raised in Alaska by a nurse and an entrepreneur, and I'm a blend of her caring and his daring. I started my own business at age 23 and was one of the youngest to ever earn the International Coach Federations Professional Certified Coach credential. Audiences and clients tell me I make lofty spiritual concepts accessible and ground them in practical business strategies. Warmth, love, and irreverence are my trademarks. Progressive business leaders seek me as a guide and advisor when they know their next professional growth step is a spiritual one. Since 1997, Ive logged over 2000 hours with a global clientele, including progressive business leaders, self-employed professionals, professional athletes, best-selling authors, new entrepreneurs, couples, and even teens.

Credentials: CoachU and the Coaches' Training Institute honed my coaching skills. A member of the International Coach Federation, I am one of the youngest to ever be awarded the Professional Certified Coach designation. I hold a bachelor's degree with Honors in Economics and Business Leadership from the University of Puget Sound. My master's degree from Antioch University focused on the psychology of deep, lasting change, with a strong emphasis on yoga psychology. At Coach U, I train coaches in the deep skills that enable them to support clients to create amazing results in their work and their lives.

The rest of me: I live in a 1942 cottage in Seattle with my best friend Kurt, who I married in July of 2000. Our adventures change seasonally: summer and autumn, you'll find us canoeing, hiking, and kayaking. Winter and spring, we love our season tickets to Seattle Repertory Theater and our snowshoes. I'm active in our church and meditation center and I teach yoga at a community college and for free at senior centers. I tithe 5% of my income to organizations including Amnesty International, Heifer International, the Nature Conservancy, Food First, Doctors Without Borders, and the Union of Concerned Scientists. I enjoy visiting my family in Alaska, Arizona, and California and going on international adventures. In recent years, I've been to England, Turkey, Italy, Mexico, and Fiji and rafted the Grand Canyon. Our next big trip will likely be to kayak Glacier Bay. At home, I love cooking, loathe cleaning, and am in the process of painting each room a different rich color. Kurt and I are eagerly preparing to welcome our first child in the next year or two.
